SMOOTH GREEK HUMMUS
As promised, for those of you that watch my InstaStories, the hummus I made from Monday night is below. My hubby even requested this be on a standard rotation. It makes a large batch and is super cost effective with the best ingredients so go on, make yourself a creamy batch - you won’t be disappointed!
{SMOOTH GREEK HUMMUS}
🔅 1 - 15 oz can of organic great northern beans, drained and rinsed (these beans make it extra smooth and creamy)
🔅 1/4 c lemon juice
🔅1/4 c water
🔅 1/2 tsp minced garlic
🔅 1/2 tsp cumin
🔅 1/4 tsp Italian seasoning
🔅 1/4 tsp turmeric
🔅 1/4 tsp black pepper
🔅 lots of pink salt to taste
🔅 1/2 c tahini butter
🔅 1/2 c EVOO or more until desired consistency is reached
🔅 Optional add ins: artichokes, roasted red pepper, spinach, black olives, etc.
DIRECTIONS:
Blend all of ingredients together in Vitamix except for EVOO.
Once ingredients combine you can start to drizzle in the EVOO until desired consistency is reached.
** The hummus will firm up upon refrigeration so you may want to err on the thinner side and add some extra EVOO
Top with a drizzle of EVOO and a sprinkle of smoked paprika. Enjoy with some Siete Foods crunchy tortilla chips, fresh veggies, or both!
