Dairy Free Creamy Pasta Sauce
Let’s be honest, who doesn’t love a creamy and dreamy pasta sauce? I love marinara but there is something so soul satisfying about a rich luscious cream sauce. Now you can make a rich, umami, cream sauce in 5 minutes with nutritious packed ingredients that is DAIRY FREE! Dreams do come true because this simple cream sauce is all of that!
{DAIRY FREE GLUTEN FREE CREAM SAUCE}
✅ 1 c riced sweet potato (I prefer Boulder Canyon available in the freezer section but if you can’t find it just measure out a cup of cooked chopped sweet potato)
✅ 1 c salted cashew (best if you can let them soak in hot water for a bit for a smoother texture)
✅ 1/2 t minced garlic
✅ 1 t porcini powder (I love Nom Nom Paleo magic mushroom powder)
✅ 3 T nutritional yeast
✅ 1 T lemon juice
✅ 1 1/2 c bone broth (I like Bonafide Provisions beef) *use less bone broth to make a thick sauce or more to thin out
✅ pink salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS:
Throw everything into a Vitamix and blend on high until creamy consistency is achieved.
I served it on top of Cappellos grain free fettuccine with mushrooms, red pepper, and Applegate chicken sausage.
This is perfect for a nice Sunday family dinner.
